“I have been using a MustLuvDogs Cool Coat for my agility dog for the past 2 years and am very happy with the relief it provides while competing in the summer heat. The new coat design adapts to fit my Kelpie’s tiny waist and allows the fabric to contact the abdominal skin providing optimum cooling. The coat fabric enables excess water to be wrung out so that the dog’s fur and body does not become wet. The dampness of the cool coat fabric cools the dog’s fur so that the air naturally located between the hair fibers is also cooled. Cooling in this fashion allows the dog to be cooled without chilling those muscles that are warm and supple from working. Although immersion in water may seem refreshing, it can be counterproductive. Wetting a dog to the skin can result in peripheral vasoconstriction- reducing the body’s ability to circulate blood to the skin where it is cooled and returned to the body core. By using a cool coat that is damp I can be confident I am providing shelter from the direct sun while cooling my dog without compromising musculoskeletal dynamics.”

“I had the opportunity to try a MustLuvDogs Cool Coat for my retired racing greyhound, Mack. Until now, I always had trouble finding a coat that fit him comfortably due to his greyhound build. Mack loved this coat as soon as he had it on. It was light and comfortable and kept him cool even when he was in direct sunlight for many hours. As a pet owner I appreciated how easy it was to use and keep clean. As an animal chiropractor I was very impressed by the health and wellness benefits. The coat cools the dog’s body temperature without dampening its skin. This allows the muscles to stay warm and supple allowing the spine and joints to move freely. This means there is less risk of muscle or joint injury while your dog is active and playing leading to optimal functioning of your pet’s muscles, joints and nervous system; all of which translates into a healthy, strong and happy dog!”

“As a trainer, I’m always looking for ways to keep my dogs performing at their best. MustLuvDogs Cool Coats is one of my secrets. I like to wet the coats and keep them in a cooler. After my dogs compete, I put cool coats on them. It cools them down quickly without shocking their system by being too cold. I love the new style because it covers the neck and chest which is very beneficial. The coats are easy to put on and take off and my dogs love wearing them. Thanks Val”

“Why I love my cool coats… As a dog owner, my MustLuvDogs Cool Coats are a part of everyday life, unless it’s winter. Once I put them on my dogs I stop worrying about the heat. When my air conditioning broke last summer, I was so happy that I was able to reach for my cool coats!
As a dog trainer of five Aussies, as soon as nice weather arrives, I pack my cool coats before I even think about my dog treats! Whether I am preparing for the National or attending training classes my cool coats are essential. I use them with all the dog sports I do. If my dogs are not comfortable, the heat drastically affects their performance. The only reason I can still compete and perform well with my 12 year old girls is because the cool coats keep them fresh, alert and full of energy. Doing agility without my cool coats is plain and simply unthinkable for me.”

“As a breeder, owner and handler of top winning Bearded Collies, I work hard at keeping my dogs in top condition. They are exercised daily, groomed regularly, fed high quality food and trained in conformation, obedience and agility. But sometimes it doesn’t matter how much effort is put in to their conditioning if the weather is just too hot and humid. With their long coats, they really feel the heat and can “melt” on a hot summer day. That’s when a cool coat from MustLuvDogs comes to the rescue! The dogs are cool, comfortable and can compete in tip top form no matter how hot it gets! The cool coats really give them the winning edge!”

“MustLuvDogs cool coats have been a wonderful addition to my summer cooling kit. On long car trips my dogs wear the coats to keep cool so I don’t freeze with the A/C maxed out. While offering massage to our canine athletes during summer trials, I often use cool coats in conjunction with Epsom Salts to ease tired muscles after performance in the ring. The closure system holds the coat securely in place while the unique material used for the body holds a cool temperature that doesn’t wet the coat of the dog. I even use the cooling coats while waiting to go into the conformation ring, without worrying about flattening or disturbing the groomed coats of my Belgian Sheepdogs. The temperature under the coat is cool even on exceptionally warm days of summer.”

“When competing with our Bearded Collies and Havanese in warmer weather, it has often been a challenge to keep them cool and comfortable so that they are able to perform to the best of their ability. As our dogs compete in performance events as well as conformation, they are always in full coat. Cool Coats provide a great way to cool down our long coated dogs without having to worry about any damage being done to their coats. When wearing their Cool Coats, our dogs are kept cool and dry and therefore there is no fear of dampness causing matting or skin issues. Cool Coats are a must for every dog owner!”

“A few years ago I brought one of my Golden Retrievers with me while vacationing in Europe. There were many days my dog would have been unable to accompany me in the oppressive heat if she hadn’t been wearing her cool coat. It was a real life saver! Quite simply, I believe MustLuvDogs Cool Coats are an excellent product and keep dogs cool during hot and humid weather. My dogs wear them for agility trials, while waiting their turn in class, travelling in the car on hot days, and even for walks.
As Veronica Evers-Doyle, one of my trainers at Good as Gold says…”Yes, I get funny looks from people when they see a dog wearing a “coat” in the heat but it gives me an opportunity to educate people on the merits of a wearable air conditioner for my dog.”
